Velocio announces an all-new range of MTB clothing for women and men
Velocio commits to mountain biking with a new-look Off-Road Equipment range which has some interesting features
Velocio has launched their Off-Road Equipment 2023 mountain bike clothing range, which they have expanded with a new pair of pants, shorts, some tops, and an ultralight packable jacket.
Velocio are better known for their premium road and gravel gear but the Women's first bike brand has previously dabbled in mountain biking. Now Velocio has fully committed to trail riding, adding new clothing pieces and uniting their range under some off-road-specific branding for 2023.
Whats new?
The Trail Access MTB pants are the newest edition to the range, based on the Access shorts they are made from a 170gsm cordura fabric with high wear areas like the seat, knee, and lower leg reinforced using a ripstop weave. The material is C0 DWR to give it a water-resistant coating whilst keeping the pants PFCs or PFAs free. The legs are tapered for a flap and snag-free fit and there are a couple of zipped leg pockets. The pants come in two colors, either dark olive or black.
One feature that stands out on the Trail Access pants is the Arcade stretch belt which is included with the pants and Velocio's shorts as well. It uses stretchy recycled polyester webbing rather than belt holes to find the perfect fit and features a low-profile plastic buckle.
The Access MTB shorts were already part of Velocio's clothing range and are made from the same C0 DWR-treated fabric as the pants. They have an extended front knee section to avoid any awkward gap between shorts and pads and have been reworked to feature belt loops for the new Arcade belt. The Access shorts come in either moonrock, black cherry, black, or army color options in both the women's and the men's shorts.
The Ulltralight shorts use a 115gsm double weave stretch fabric which has been CO DWR treated and features pre-shaped tailoring to give a better fit when on the bike. The cut is a bit tighter than the Access shorts and is designed to be worn on their own or with a low-profile set of knee pads and use the Arcade stretch belt to adjust the waist. The Ultralight shorts are available in either light olive, black, or black cherry colors.
Velocio offers a huge range of sizes in their pants and shorts, there are eight sizes ranging from XXS to 3XL in the women's clothes and XS to 4XL for men.
There are four new MTB jerseys too which feature different materials and come in short and a couple of long sleeve options too. There's an Ultralight short sleeve that's made from 88 percent recycled polyester mesh fabric and comes in a cool special-edition indigo dye print.
The Merino and Micromodal fabrics have featured in Velocio's MTB range before, as well as other jerseys in their range. The Merino jersey comes in short and long sleeves and is made from a fine merino blend and should be perfect for chilly rides or as part of a layering system. The Micromodal jersey uses a 120gsm Micromodal tek mesh to promote wicking and fast drying on warmer rides. The Merino jersey comes in rust, army, black, and moonrock while the Micromodal jersey comes in black. army, black cherry, and navy.
Lastly is the new Delta Trail jersey which is made from Polartec Delta cooling fabric which uses a grid pattern in the fabric to lift the material off your skin and help promote airflow. It comes in black, rust. lilac, and moonrock options.
There is the Ultralight Trail hooded jacket too which is a lightweight and packable windproof. It's made from stretchy water-resistant Pertex Quantum Air fabric and features an elasticated hood that fits over a helmet, a two-way zipper, and two zipped pockets. The jacket comes in charcoal, fire red, or moonrock.
As with the bottoms, Velocio has eight sizes to choose from in all tops and jackets excluding the Ultralight jersey which comes in XXS to L for the women and XS to XL for the men.
Velocio's full Off-Road Equipment MTB range is available now for US customers but UK riders will need to wait a little longer until the new kit reaches their international fulfillment center. For more information, head over to Velocio.cc.
