Funn MTB's updated Python pedals have a new softer aesthetic
Funn MTB says they have refined the shape of the pedal to reduce weight, giving the Python their new rounded look
Funn MTB has been around for a long time and has kitted out some of the best racers over the years. Funn has collaborated with their sponsored riders to design an updated version of their Python pedal which Funn MTB says is light, strong, and offers better shoe-to-pedal contact.
Funn MTB has forged the pedal bodies from AL6061 alloy and then CNC'ed them to refine the shape. By removing the excess material and giving them their rounded shape, Funn MTB says they have been able to reduce the weight down to a claimed 375g (pair) which is on par with many of the best MTB flat pedals.
The pedal bodies have a platform size of 100mm x 110mm x 10.5mm which houses 11 pins on each side to offer traction with your flat pedal shoes. The Python pedals will be available in Black, Gray, Orange, Green, Red, and Blue colors.
Funn MTB says they have specced a cartridge axle system so that the pedals bearings are easier to remove and replace. This should also give customers easier access to parts and the ability to replace the axles if required.
The Funn MTB Python pedals will be available at the end of June and are priced at $115 / £TBC.
