Here at BikePerfect, we did a lot of deal hunting over this Amazon Prime Day period. However, in one last sale scouring hurrah, I thought I'd try and find some deals with significant savings that don't involve Amazon or Prime Day on genuinely useful mountain bike kit that I use (or that's very similar to what I use) myself. So here's my pick of the current sales split into five US and five UK offers.

Top 5 US deals

1. Race Face Chester pedals:$59.99

1. Race Face Chester pedals: Were $59.99, now $34.95 at Evo
Race Face make some excellent components and these Chester flat pedals are brilliant value for money in this deal. There are eight colors to choose from, loads of grip from the eight removable pins per side and they run on chromoly axles with smooth bearings. I almost always ride with flat pedals and the Chesters are a top option at this bargain price.

2. Bell 4Forty MIPS MTB helmet:$79.99

2. Bell 4Forty MIPS MTB helmet: Was $79.99, now $69.99 at Walmart
This helmet cost $150 when it was first released four years ago. With a deeper fit and MIPS protection, the 4Forty is a great option for trail and enduro riding. While I've not tested this particular model, I've reviewed other Bell helmets and they have always proved to be very well made.

3. Garmin Forerunner 945 watch:$599.99

3. Garmin Forerunner 945 watch: Was $599.99, now $369 at Walmart
I wear a Garmin smartwatch all the time and the Forerunner 945 is an excellent choice for recording your MTB rides and any other sports you do. You get full color, detailed mapping, battery life is good, and it will give you a ton of health tracking info if you wear it daily.

4. 100% Teratec Knee Guards: $69.00

4. 100% Teratec Knee Guards: Were $69.00, now $34.50 at Competitive Cyclist
The 100% Terratec knee guards are an excellent option for everyday pedaling as they are made from soft materials with a pliable protective insert. I always wear knee pads as your knees are often the first things to hit the deck in a crash. Unless I'm heading to a gravity venue, softer pads like these are my go-to choice.

5. Maxxis Minion DHR II tire: $69.00

5. Maxxis Minion DHR II tire: Was $69.00, now $34.50 at Jenson
The Maxxis Minion DHR II is a super grippy trail/enduro tire that we gave 4.5 out of 5 in our review. It's a super versatile model that I use as an aggro rear tire, but it also works really well on the front wheel too. For more info, see our Maxxis Minion DHR II review.

Top 5 UK deals

1. Muc-Off Punk Powder 4-Pack: £26.99

1. Muc-Off Punk Powder 4-Pack: Were £26.99, now £14.99 at Decathlon
Muc-Off's bike cleaner is the one I keep in my garage. It does an excellent job of getting mud and grime off my MTBs, it's biodegradable and it goes a long way. I've used these Punk Powder refills too and they mix up to a full bottle of cleaner. Using them means you create less plastic waste, all you need is an old spray bottle to mix them up in.

2. Five Ten Sleuth DLX Canvas shoes: £110

2. Five Ten Sleuth DLX Canvas shoes: Were £110, now £55 at Evans
These Five Ten Sleuth shoes are an excellent choice for summer trail riding and are casual enough to wear off the bike. They're a proper bargain in this 50% off deal too. If you've not tried them, they're basically a lighter weight version of Five Ten's renowned Freeriders. They get the same super grippy sole, but have a bit less foot protection. The Sleuths on sale are available in a massive range of sizes.

3. DMR DeathGrips: £26.00

3. DMR DeathGrips: Were £26.00, now £16.99 at Tredz
Designed by downhill racing legend, Brendan Fairclough, the DeathGrips are one of the most popular MTB grips around. They're available in a huge range of colors – most of which are available at the time of writing. If you want to upgrade your grips, you simply cannot go wrong with the DeathGrips.

4. Evoc Pro Hip Waist Pouch: £79.99

4. Evoc Pro Hip Waist Pouch: Was £79.99, now £44.99 at Tredz
Hip packs for MTB have grown in popularity over recent years and I ride with one all the time. Evoc are one of the top brands involved and this compact pack is ideal for trail blasts or laps and comes with a drinks bottle included. With a total capacity of 1.5l, there's room for a multi-tool, phone and more.

5. Vel Track Pump: £30.00

5. Vel Track Pump: Was £30.00, now £12.99 at Sigma
If you've got a mountain bike, you need a track pump. It's as simple as that. Mini-pumps are great for trail-side emergencies, but at home, a few strokes of a track pump adds as much air as minutes of blasting away on a small pump. This model from Vel has an easy-to-read pressure gauge and comes at a bargain price with 57% off in this deal.
